The Germany-based psychedelic pop trio "Cindy Gravity" released their new single "48h Daydream" on May 18. The sound of this band, which I wish I had met earlier, is dreamy. their drums, catchy bass lines and combination are tremendous.

ABOUT THE ARTIST.
Are you a bit of a daydreamer, occasionally detached from reality? Have you ever been desperately in love, without really knowing the person you’re obsessed with? Berlin’s Psych Pop Trio Cindy Gravity, described by blogs and magazines from all over the world as „catchy, but a bit weird“, known for their “cutting-edge antidepressant-hop” and even accused once of inventing kissing, are back with their first release off of their upcoming debut album „Brutally Soft“. 48h Daydream is an ode to the disarming power of our unconscious; wrapped in a gentle, lascivious and irresistible tune.
Cindy Gravity is a psychedelic pop trio with a drum machine, pitched vocals and lots of Major7 chords. When Cindy Gravity was launched in 2014 as an experimental art figure, Ludwig, Nico and Lucas were still living in various cities across Germany and using Cindy Gravity as a creative outlet. Indeed, the three are in a good mood, but sensitive. The music is the result of intuition and curiosity; feelings are felt and you almost briefly believe to understand how everything is connected to everything.
It is not until 2019 that Cindy Gravity begin to work together in a room in Stuttgart - an intense re-discovery phase that leads to the first performance in December 2019. And then: Pandemic. More concerts, streaming performances and a music video later, the band, now based in Berlin, begins recording their debut album, Brutally Soft. Like the title, the album is a paradox: between pop chorus and experimental synth shoegaze, electronica beats and vocal harmonies, minimalist arrangements and sprawling orchestration. Everything flows into each other and surprises, but works. The lyrics are associative and non-linear, like dreams that feel clear but are hard to explain.
Live, Cindy Gravity always plays without a setlist. Instead, the band builds their own space with carpets, umbrella lamps and plentiful flowers. The musicians are in constant eye contact and wink, flirt and surprise each other, meandering from song to song. The resulting tension and spontaneity fills the room and spills over to the audience, who witness a unique performance that cannot be replicated. In September 2022, Cindy Gravity will release their LP "Brutally Soft" and go on tour throughout Germany.
